After taking on the Chinese phone market and winning, LeTV are turning their attention to the worlds fastest growing phone market, India!
LeTV are actively looking to expand out of China and hope to launch video streaming services in the U.S that rival Netflix, they also want to launch their range of smartphones elsewhere too, but where first?
In an interview with The Times of India, LeTV representatives say that they plan to enter the Indian mobile space, which would mark its first official step outside of China. Chances are the company will also release a video streaming service to complement and subsidise costs of hardware too, bringing even more value to India’s phone buying public.
MOST PEOPLE IN INDIA PROBABLY HAVEN’T HEARD OF LETV YET, BUT INDICATIONS ARE THAT LETV WOULD SOON BUILD UP A PRESENCE HERE TO TAP INTO ONE OF THE FASTEST GROWING MARKETS FOR SMART PHONES AND OTHER SMART DEVICES, WITH PLANS TO START SELLING ITS STREAMING SERVICE AND DEVICES
LeTV haven’t confirmed when they plan to enter India or with what phone, but we believe that they will make tentative steps with the LeTV Le1 (aka X600) or upcoming X500 models. Either of these phones could be launched a great price points and make a strong competitor to Xiaomi’s Redmi range.
