CyanogenMod 12S for the OnePlus One passes certification, to seed over the ‘next few days’
The OnePlus One has unfortunately been riddled with controversy and delays, and the postponed release of the Lollipop based CyanogenMod 12S is the latest mishap.
However, in what is seen as respite for OnePlus One owners, company co-founder Carl Pei tweeted that the CyanogenMod 12S update had received certification and that it would seed to OnePlus One devices over the next few days.
The device was launched a year back with the CyanogenMod 11S OS based on Android KitKat, and has since been awaiting a Lollipop release. After facing troubles with CyanogenMod Inc., OnePlus also announced its own forked version of Android, i.e., OxygenOS.
Owners of the ‘flagship killer’ have taken to social media and fora to vent their frustration, and an OTA soon will do good not only to owners of the phone, but also the company which has built itself a reputation for missing deadlines.
