After almost 2 weeks of waiting (and some complaints from plagued users) it seems that Samsung began rolling out the most awaited red tint fixing software update for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ models.
The much anticipated update has already reached the home market of the company (S. Korea) and for the S8 model it comes with firmware version G950NKSU1AQDG, while the S8+ gets G955NKSU1AQDG.

T-Mobile previews Samsung Galaxy S7 with underwater unboxing video
If you thought Samsung couldn’t possibly one-up the unboxing craziness of that pre-release llama video from last week, well, you were most likely right. But T-Mobile comes pretty darn close with a weirdly hilarious 2-minute underwater clip starring Product Manager, Engineer and Tech Evangelist Des, aka Desmond Smith, mumbling his way through an unorthodox Galaxy S7 unboxing.
The whole thing should probably start with a “don’t try this at home” warning, since the retail container is obviously ruined by water, and we doubt the wall charger, USB cable and SIM card are doing great too.

Samsung Galaxy View tablet now discounted to $449
All glorious 18.4 inches could be yours for the low, low price of…
Well, if $549 wasn’t good enough for you, you probably wouldn’t shell $499 or go to AT&T to find room on your kitchen countertop or fridge for the Samsung Galaxy View at this price.
Amazon, Best Buy and B&H have all taken down the tablet’s price to $449. Just remember that this device would better serve those who love to binge watch something on their mobile phones, but would rather have the phone stand up by itself and be large enough to be seen from a distance of at least three feet.
At least we’ve got stereo speakers in the house.

First Marshmallow updates for Samsung phones reportedly ‘delayed’ for February
Samsung has rarely led the way in software support and bumps to the newest Android iterations for even its best smartphones, but it’s never been as late as this year either. Marshmallows are yet to officially roll out to a single Galaxy “star”, unlike LG, Motorola or HTC devices.
Several upgrade timelines were rumored for handhelds as diverse as the Note 5, S6, Note 4, S5, A3 or J5, with the latest flagships initially expected to score 6.0 goodies as early as December, then January, and now February.

Galaxy S7 leak finally gives us a look at the smartphone in the flesh?
Over the past several weeks and months, we’ve heard no shortage about what to expect from Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S7: how many different models to look forward to, what sizes we’re likely to get – all that jazz. And while we’ve seen plenty of schematics, and even some case pics, we’ve been coming up short in the leak department when it comes to the good stuff: imagery of actual phone hardware. Apparently all of our patience is finally starting to pay off, and today we get to check out what might just be the first real pic we’ve seen of the Galaxy S7 in the flesh.
Samsung said to be taking its app ecosystem to iOS
Apple hasn’t jumped platforms very well. But everyone else has — which only serves to reinforce the idea that the iPhone is the phone to have forever and ever everywhere. Microsoft and Google have come to play, now there’s word that Apple’s largest competitor in the mobile space will bring its software over to the App Store.
Samsung may be planning on bringing its S Health, Gear Fit Manager and Gear Manager apps to iOS. This would open up the company’s Gear wearables to iPhone compatibility.

Will it be too late? January 2016 rumored for Euro Note 5 release
Much to residents disappointment, Samsung initially decided not to sell the Galaxy Note 5 in Europe, but never said the phone would be kept away forever. The South Korean mobile giant may have now started to reconsider its decision, following an outcry from fans of the Note series and even a petition from UK retailer Clove. Rumors are slowly gathering the Note 5 may finally arrive in the U.K. and Europe, and we’ve gathered them all here.
At the beginning of December, two reports claimed Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Note 5 in the U.K. and in Europe. According to Gadgette’s source sales will begin towards the end of January in the UK, while Android Central quotes another anonymous source that says Europe will see the Note 5 in early 2016. This may indicate a staggered release, although this strategy seems unnecessary for an established model.

Samsung’s next Galaxy flagship phone could have 6GB of RAM
Samsung has announced the production of a new, high-speed, high-capacity memory module for mobile devices, which could see its future Galaxy smartphones come with up to 6GB of RAM inside. The new LPDDR4 module is a first for the mobile industry, and offers other benefits beyond the expected speed increase.
In its top-spec form, the new memory module will add 6GB of RAM using four chips to a smartphone, and is up to 30-percent faster than the previous generation chip. It’s designed for use in “next generation” phones, according to Samsung, that run the very latest OS version — indicating the chip will be one part of the spec on Android Marshmallow phones.

Samsung promises next-gen mobile batteries are on the way
Newly published search from Samsung Electronics could lead to smartphone battery life that’s double what it is on today’s handsets, Business Korea reports. You may have to go through the nightly charging ritual for a while yet though: Samsung says the technology is still two or three years away from being used in commercial products.
Today’s lithium-ion batteries are getting close to the limit of their usefulness, with larger batteries pretty much the only remaining way to improve longevity. Samsung’s researchers have been focusing on the cathode part of the battery — the part that receives the charge — and think that by replacing the graphite in today’s packs with graphene-coated silicon they can produce batteries that last a lot longer.

Samsung wants to stick giant video screens on the back of semi trucks
Samsung wants to put huge video displays on the back of trucks.
No, this isn’t some bizarre entertainment-based initiative designed to make the lives of trailing drivers less stressful by screening a selection of TV shows to help pass the time, though thinking about it, that might not be such a bad idea.
Instead, Samsung’s idea focuses on improving road safety, particularly along two-lane roads where impatient drivers can make poor choices when overtaking slow trucks in front.
The technology involves fitting a wireless camera to the front of the truck that provides live-view imagery to a giant four-screen display – Samsung made, of course – fitted on the back.

Samsung gets cloned again! This time it is No.1
I often wonder if clone phones are really such a great business practice, well they must as the second Samsung Galaxy S6 clone today!
The curved screen of the flagship S6 is going to prove to difficult for Chinese phone makers to copy, but the flat screen of lesser model is a walk in the park. So easy in fact that there are now 2 Galaxy S6 clones on the market.
Judging by the hardware of this No.1 branded phone and the Landvo S6 from earlier today, both phones are the same only the branding is different.
The No.1 S6i specs claim a 5.1-inch 720HD display, 6.8mm body, Android 5.0, MT6582, 1GB RAM and no SD card support (same as the Landvo). No.1 also list the main camera as a 16 mega-pixel, but we know that the actual sensor is an 8 mega-pixel unit.
Pricing for the No.1 S6 is just under $120, with some online sellers already offering the knock off.

Samsung shipped more smartphones than anyone in Q1 2015, Huawei climbs the list
Samsung extended its lead over Apple in terms of worldwide smartphone shipments in the first quarter of 2015, before the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge even began shipping. The gap between the two smartphone manufacturers will widen in the second quarter, according to technology market intelligence firm TrendForce.
In the first quarter, a total of 291.2 million smartphone units were shipped around the world, a 9.2 percent decline from the 320.8 million units shipped in the prior quarter. The larger-than-expected drop is attributed to a weak market in China, according to Taiwan-based TrendForce.
Related: Samsung says there might not be enough Galaxy S6 Edge phones for everyone
Samsung was the No. 1 smartphone manufacturer in the first quarter, claiming 27.8 percent of all worldwide shipments. Apple was second with 19.9 percent of the market. In the fourth quarter of 2014, the gap between the two top dogs was narrower (24.7 percent of Samsung, 23.3 percent for Apple).

This is how Samsung’s trying to sell the Galaxy S6 on Apple Watch launch day
You’d be forgiven for forgetting April 10 is Samsung’s Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge launch day, thanks to all the hype and excitement over the Apple Watch. Samsung’s doing it best to shout loudly over all the noise, and ensure those who aren’t interested in the new wearable will pop out and grab an S6 instead.
How’s it doing this? Samsung has released a brand-new advert to promote the phone featuring James Corden. Who, you may ask? Corden is one of the former stars of hit U.K. sitcom Gavin & Stacy, but is now best known as the new host of the Late Late Show. What better introduction to unfamiliar U.S. audiences than in a cliched, cringe-making commercial for a new smartphone.

Samsung wants to satisfy your listening needs with a new wireless speaker and soundbars
Along with the announcement of its new line of SUHD and UHD TVs, Samsung also announced a slew of products to round out the company’s home theater experience, which include a new wireless speaker and a set of curved soundbars.
Let’s start with the speaker. Samsung has made its first omnidirectional speaker with the Wireless Audio Radiant 360 R7. It accomplishes this thanks to Samsung’s “Ring Radiator” technology, which we saw earlier this year at CES with Samsung’s WAM7500 and WAM6500 multi-room speakers.
In short, Ring Radiator allows the R7 to deliver balanced audio across the bass and treble within a 360-degree radius. That way, there’s no need to rearrange your setup in order to get balanced audio in all corners of the room.

Samsung unveils first 10nm SoC technology
Forget your 28nm and 20nm, forget even the rumoured 16nm from Huawei! Samsung will be releasing 10nm based SoC’s in the near future.
Chances are you didn’t know that the International Solid State Circuits Conference is in full swing until the 26th Feb, we certainly didn’t, but that show is now on the map thanks to a surprise announcement by Samsung.
Samsung head’s took to the stage at the show to announce their new 10-nm FinFET manufacturing process which will allow next generation Samsung SoC’s to be more powerful and energy efficient than ever.
So far only the manufacturing process has been confirmed, and no actual processors using the tech have been announced so we cannot comment on what other features we can expect from the Korean tech giant.
We do know though that 10nm chips won’t be be seen in production phones until at least 2016, which means a possible Galaxy S7 debut.

Samsung Galaxy S6 looks set to be a 2K marvel
We're expecting Samsung's next flagship phone to break cover in the near future, and we now have some solid details on what to expect - thanks to a discovered User Agent Profile.
As spotted by Dutch site TechTastic (that's the bit of code that tells a site how to behave on particular devices) the Galaxy S6 looks set to pack a QHD 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, something we had been expecting. The listed model number is SM-G920A which is likely to be the AT&T version of the S6 in the US.
QHD has always been the rumoured display resolution for the Galaxy S6 - although we have heard reports that Samsung is going to release a couple of different models, with one featuring a curved edge to its display like the Galaxy Note Edge.
64-bit future
Other bits of information revealed by the UAP are that the Galaxy S6 will be using physical hardware buttons and come with the 64-bit version of Android installed, which lines up with the 64-bit processor we think the S6 will have.

Samsung gives us our first official Galaxy S6 shot
Samsung has just released a teaser video for its Unpacked event in Barcelona on March 1, and it's given us a sneaky look at the Galaxy S6 in the process.
The video gives precious little away about Samsung's next galaxy, but it looks like it will be super slim from the side profile revealed at the end of the 21 second clip.
The voice over purrs "I am crafted from the beautiful things I see around me, they shape who I am, I am the next galaxy."
From what we can tell then, Samsung is going to focus heavily on the design of the Galaxy S6, providing further fuel to the "all metal body" fire which is burning brightly in the lead up to its MWC 2015 event.
TechRadar will be reporting live from Unpacked on March 1 to bring you all the latest on the Galaxy S6.
