Things are getting messed up with Qualcomm’s latest (and most powerful) SoC, the Snapdragon 835 since Samsung accumulated all the available quantities for their upcoming Galaxy S8/S8+ models. Now Xiaomi Mi 6 is affected by this strategy and according to recent information, the Chinese company may choose to launch one variant of the device equipped with last year’s Snapdragon 821 SoC at first.
LG G6 was one of the flagship models that was affected by Samsung’s decision and that’s the reason it’s now available with last year’s Snapdragon 821 SoC, so Xiaomi may follow the same path and unveil a Xiaomi Mi 6 model with the same SoC this April.
Don’t worry though, there will also be two more variants of the device that will be equipped with Snapdragon 835 SoC but this won’t happen until May or June. Around the same time that Sony’s Xperia XZ Premium will be available as well.
